Connect, Grow and Serve

Youth Group is our student ministry for young people grades 8-12 which seeks to invest in young people. We create a safe space with adults that wish to be present with students as they move through adolescence. Often this is done by playing games together, serving others or simply enjoying a meal. Each week is unique in regards to the activities we do, that being said, every week we will always take time to sit down and look into the Bible together and pray about what is going on in each other's lives.

The Baby Nursery (ages newborn to 2 years) and Toddler Nursery (ages 2 & 3) are located behind the sanctuary or in the room off the front side of the sanctuary.

Young adults who are high school graduates or older, single or married, with children or no children and meet on Thursday evenings at various locations. Young adults are at the age when a lot of their peers are anxious to be on their own, exploring the world of post high school life or work, and developing an adult social life. Young adults is a place where young people meet together with their peers and grow together. This often includes Bible studies, events and eating meals together. The young adult sponsors have been investing in young people for many years and invite you to come into their home learn more about life, adulting and most importantly your relationship with God.

Awana is a weeknight childrens ministry; Through a combination of large group activities and story time, small group discussions, and games time, we provide the opportunity for children ages 3 to grade 9 to learn more about God, and the Bible, become followers of Christ and learn how to share our faith with others.

Our Club meets Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8 pm weekly from October thru April.
There are 4 different groups running at present :

Cubbies: Ages 3 & 4
Sparkies: Kindergarten to Grade 2
T&T: Grades 3-6
Trek: Grades 7-9

A nominal fee of $40 per child is charged to cover the expense of the workbook(s) and uniform. Contact the church office at 250-787-2550 or fsjefc@pris.ca for more details.

Starting in September and going through June, Children’s Church is offered during the 10 a.m. service. The children, aged 4 to grade 8, begin in the Worship Service and then transition downstairs after about 15 minutes of worship with the congregation.

The bus ministry is an opportunity for people who find transportation or getting to church difficult. If you need assistance, please contact Dave Wiebe at 250-261-8373 to arrange for a pickup to and from church each Sunday.
